You survived 2016 and some may say you even thrived. Your strong sense of spiritual purpose and drive has kept you sustained through some difficult times. Your sense of knowing and understanding kept you strong and steadfast when others may have fallen apart or crumbled. As 2017 approaches you are being encouraged to let your light shine in an even brighter way. There are those around you who need your positive approach and enthusiasm in order to stay focused in a beneficial way. You can lead them by example and show them how you have achieved your state of spiritual fortitude. You may even decide to teach classes or instruct groups of people if you are so inspired. Do not let anyone or anything keep you from doing something that you are feeling guided toward. You may have some naysayers around you that do not fully understand the strong sense of spiritual direction you have achieved, but ignore any of those negative voices that are not supportive. They are only struggling with their own inner conflicts that have nothing to do with you. You do have a wonderful support team in the spiritual realm that will be there to guide you and direct you whenever you need it. Just reach out to them for answers and they will respond to you in a myriad of ways. Here are some suggestions for connecting and communicating with your spirit guides.

 

1. Question journal. In this journal you can write down specific questions for your guides. Don't expect to receive answers immediately, but as you move throughout your day see if you are inspired to answers that you had never thought of before. Your guides will answer you through inspiration thought forms, movies and TV shows, books and oracle cards. There's lots of ways for you to connect in spirit to receive these messages.

 

2. Meditation visualization. Another great way to connect with your guides is to do a visualization meditation. In this meditation you visualize one of your guides coming forth to you. Then in the visualization you ask them your question. As you ask the question try to stay focused on the image of your guide as you have imagined them in your mind. Then as you look at them in your visualization imagine how they might respond to your question. Yes, it is OK if you just 'make up an answer'. That answer often times is very close to the truth of what the actual answer is. Your guides can give you subtle suggestions energetically and vibrationally that come through as imaginative thought forms and those answers are very accurate. The more you practice this type of meditation the more accurate the answers you receive from your spirit guides will be. The key is to remove as much of your own personal emotions from the answers as you can.

 

With these practices you will develop deeper and deeper conversations and may even find yourself having fully realized dream quests when you sleep. This year will be full of extremely intense energetic connections with spirit as your solid foundation becomes an integral part of your day to day living.
