The wounded warrior is one who has significant battle wounds from a long journey fighting on the spiritual path.  You are feeling extremely exhausted and broken from the struggle and have lost hope that any true reward is waiting for you at the end.  You have won at times and lost at others, but right now the only thing you can focus on are the losses and you wonder if any of the pain has really been worth it.  You have given up hope that the lessons you have been taught along the way have really integrated into your soul and you are feeling defeated and ashamed.  You are afraid to talk to anyone about your struggle because you have always learned to put on a brave face in front of others.  Suffering alone you hide yourself from the world so they can not see your fear and shame and you wait for a sign from above to rescue you from this wretched state.
