When I think about Easter, it always reminds me of my first spiritual mentor, LaWanna Rine. She would have a sunrise service every year at Lotus Lodge. We would trek to the top of Meditation Hill and greet the sunrise, standing amongst her favorite circle of trees that st

ood in the shape of a natural merkaba. It was in this circle of trees that she ordained me a minister of the I AM Temple of Radiant Light.

One of my first memories of her came in the form of what she called “LaWanna's Love Letter.” She would handwrite a monthly newsletter offering spiritual insight, healthy tips, and a vegetarian recipe. I volunteered to help her update her newsletter and utilized my newly emerging computer skills to design and print an expanded version of her handwritten monthly letter. It was so much fun to put together and opened up a world of spiritual connections for me, as this would be the catalyst to bring Fred Payne, the creator of Phoenix Vibrational Healing work, into the Ohio area.

Years later, LaWanna's Love Letter would end up online, and eventually, she started reading these letters on video from her daughter Zoe's front porch and posted them on Facebook. It was always a joy for me to see her reading these letters of love about health, joy, and pursuing your spiritual dreams. Here's a short excerpt from one of those letters...

“When I became aware of two little words, they changed my life. I found by using the two words I could create a new Universe within me and around me. So I started playing with them as Love Words! As I played with them, my world changed. I removed myself from a hospital death bed to creating The I Am Temple of Radiant Light and Lotus Lodge Health Retreat.

​

I was told if I spent 5 minutes in the sun it would kill me. I spent from May through to October tearing a barn down to get the timber, beams, and stones and haul them to my Holy Land. By October I had taken all my vacation in the sun. I was healed! That was in 1972–1974, creating a place for people to come to get healthy.

​

The secret was and is the third word after the two – I Am Love – always using a positive word with I Am. I have created paradise. I Am living the Golden Age. I Am free to be who I came to Earth to be.

While LaWanna is no longer with us in the physical on this Earth plane, she is most certainly still radiating Divine Love and Light to us all.

​

While I was thinking about LaWanna, I felt this really strong urge to

channel her energy field, and I asked her what is something I could do to help bring people closer to Love, their Spirit Guides, and connection to Source. And she reminded me of her Love Letter. “Write a Love Letter,” I heard her whisper.
