I made the decision this year that even though I'm single for the holidays again, I wasn't going to let that stop me from getting out and doing fun holiday activities. I decided that I was going to enjoy all the experiences that I imagine myself doing with my partner and just have as much fun as I possibly can even if I'm on my own. I've gone to see Rudolph the Musical, The Soweto Gospel Choir, I'm going to see the Christmas Big Brass Band later this week and I've been cozying up with my pup watching holiday movies at night. Earlier this week I happened to stumble on the Kings Island Winterfest. It looked like a fun Christmasy activity, so I started doing some research. Turns out my Cedar Point season pass was going to cover the price of the tickets and parking and my food plan I had for the summer would also work down there during Winterfest. I was thrilled. I had so much fun watching the ice skaters, enjoying the holiday lights, listening to the musical acts and feeding the camels at the Live Nativity. Every once in a while I would have that pang of a thought 'wouldn't it be nice if I had someone to enjoy this with...' but it was a fleeting thought and I really just allowed myself to take everything in and enjoy the beauty of the season. It couldn't have been a more perfect night. This morning I decided to extend my holiday fun with a breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I got a perfect seat in front of the Grand Fireplace and my server brought me extra biscuits I hadn't even ordered. The meal was perfectly cooked and I was just soaking in the ambiance of everything, relishing in the fact that I was having such an incredible time. As I was getting ready to pay, my server asked me if everything was OK. I said it was PERFECT. She looked me in the eye, smiled and said, “Your bill was taken care of.” I laughed and said, “Yea, wouldn't that be nice.” Haha She looked at me again and said, “No, seriously. Someone paid for your bill.” I was in shock! “For Real??” “Yes...” She said again. And I responded Wow, and handed her a nice big tip, which I had planned to do anyhow, cause it was such a perfect meal. As I started walking out, this attractive young man came up to me and said, “I was the one that took care of your meal and he handed me my receipt”. I shook his hand, still a bit flabbergasted and thanked him so much. He smiled, said “You're welcome” then walked off. I didn't sense it was any kind of flirtatious gesture, he just seemed really intent on doing a kindness for a stranger. As I walked to my car, I started to tear up. I realized once again this Law of Attraction energy is just so real. My entire trip had been almost completely paid for, including my breakfast, by the hand of an attractive stranger who just wanted to do something special. I sat in amazement at how everything had come together so perfectly for this special weekend. The whole world can be your partner. The Universe can dance with you in ways you never thought possible, if you just open your heart to yourself, to the people around you, to love as it exists in all its forms. So I'm going to keep on enjoying this incredible Holiday adventure I've been having. And if you're out there feeling alone or sad that you don't have anyone to spend this Christmas with, remember that YOU are your own best friend and when you celebrate the JOY of who YOU are, you can't help but shine that light out into the WORLD. And before you know it everything you've dreamed of will be showing up at your door through so many different ways. Trust, Believe, Enjoy. Merry Christmas!
