Discovering Power Through Animal Spirit Guides

My Journey with Animal Guides

When I first started connecting with my guides, they appeared to me in the form of animals. This made it easier for me to accept their energy in a way that felt comfortable. I would often use Ted Andrew’s Animal Speak to interpret the significance of these appearances. It always amazed me how accurately the meanings reflected my day-to-day life experiences.

The Connection with Crows

Crows were my first strong connection to the spirit world. I would talk to them, and in return, they would caw back at me. It felt as if I could understand their message, almost as if we were communicating on another level. One night, while camping near the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina, I woke in the pre-dawn hours. I could hear crows calling to me, urging me to “follow us.” Despite my dislike for early mornings, I instinctively knew they were guiding me toward something significant.

In the past, I had played a game with myself: based on the direction the birds flew, I would follow them wherever they went. I would drive until I spotted another flock and then observe their movements, mirroring their path. The crows were calling me to do exactly that. And so, I followed their lead—left turn, right turn, another right, and then left again. I had no idea where I was headed, but it was an exhilarating adventure!

The Excitement Builds

As I followed the crows, I could feel the energy of excitement building inside me. Suddenly, I found myself in the mountains, standing at an open pass with a stunning view of the valley below. The group of birds I was pursuing landed nearby, and I knew this was the destination they had led me to.

I got out of my car and sat on the edge of the cliff, gazing out over the valley. The sun was rising, casting a beautiful light over the fields below. I was struck by the magnificent energy sparkling across the landscape. It was a mesmerizing dance of sunlight, mountains, fields, and my crows soaring above.

To this day, I count that moment as one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. It all began with the simple invitation from the crows: “Follow us!” This joy and connection is what I want to share with you and encourage you to experience in your own life.

Connecting with Your Spirit Guides

This Thursday, I will guide you in connecting with one of your main power animals. For those who join us in person, you will receive a unique power animal soapstone carving. This carving can serve as a reminder of your animal guides. You may carry it with you or place it on an altar to honor their presence in your life.
